With a focus on social equality, personal and community development, cultural awareness, and advocacy, UC Merced’s social justice programs seek to cultivate and develop an inclusive environment where students are aware of local, national and global issues and are equipped and prepared to thrive in a diverse global society.
Through numerous programs, workshops and training — hosted or co-sponsored by Social Justice Initiatives — students have many opportunities to enhance their academic experiences while learning about themselves, others and the world along the way.
